Origin & cultivation
They are also called lucky berries and are originally from China and Mongolia. Goji berries belong to the nightshade family, like potatoes or tomatoes. Since the goji bush can also survive colder temperatures, it becomes also very popular to grow goji berries in Central Europe. We get our goji berries from Uzbekistan, more precisely from the Pamir Mountains, also known as "the roof of the world". Most parts of this region are organic certificated and are cultivated by small regional farmers.
The little berries are full of energy. They are rich in phytochemicals and antioxidants. They also contain vitamins A & C and healthy amino acids. Our goji berries are free of any artificial additives. In addition, we do not use preservatives or colorings, so that nothing blocks the positive ingredients during absorption.
Goji berries have long been used in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM). They provide energy to the body and support the cardiovascular system. The polysaccharides it contains strengthen the immune system and thus prevent diseases. In addition, the antioxidants are said to protect the cells and reduce free radicals in the body. Goji berries are also known to be good for the eyes and nervous system.
